Practice Weekend: Prostration

The Preliminaries Practice Group + Practice Weekend Programme is geared towards helping you accomplish your preliminary practices.

The 2023 – 2025 group aims to complete the Prostration Preliminary (100,000x) within two years, through a combination of group + individual practice, with guidance + support from our pastors, and encouragement from fellow retreatants.

Why prostration?

On the outer level, it purifies karma especially related to the body and physical obstacles. On the inner level, it lowers pride and helps us deal with the ego and self-grasping mind.

When done properly, prostration coupled with recitation of the 35 Confessional Buddhas (Mahayana Sutra of the Three Superior Heaps) propels our spiritual purification and transformation.

Prostration is one of the best ways for destroying pride, one of the best ways to purify the negative karma associated with the body.

– Tsem Rinpoche –

Online Practice Weekends are fully guided by senior pastors to facilitate better meditation and progress. This includes detailed explanations of the visualisations to increase the effectiveness of your prostration practice.
