Join us on Tuesday, 15th October 2024 for an auspicious day of celebration and thanksgiving dedicated to the good health and long life of His Holiness Kyabje Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche, and the continued growth of his ocean of enlightened deeds.
This most meritorious birthday celebration will be marked with a Lama Chopa Tsog puja, followed by an offering of birthday cake and candles to celebrate the 42 years since Kyabje Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche compassionately took rebirth in this incarnation for the benefit of sentient beings.

How to join
- You are encouraged to attend this puja in person for tremendous auspiciousness.
- You can make birthday offerings of khatas and angpows (monetary offerings) to H.H. Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche’s image in Wisdom Hall. Sincerely making offerings to the lineage lamas is an opportunity to practise generosity and collect merits.
- If you wish to make a monetary offering, it is considered auspicious in the Tibetan tradition to offer an odd number rather than an even number as this creates the karma to meet the lama in the future.
- Monetary offerings will be offered to H.H. Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche on your behalf.

Who is H.H. Kyabje Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche?
His Holiness Kyabje Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche is the supreme reincarnation of His Holiness Kyabje Yongzin Trijang Dorje Chang, who was the junior tutor to His Holness the 14th Dalai Lama. Born in Dalhousie, North India, Kyabje Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche currently resides in Vermont, USA. In 2004, he established the Trijang Buddhist Institute to promote Tibetan Buddhism in general and Je Tsongkhapa’s tradition in particular.
