Alamkara Recitation Puja

Join us on Thursday, 12th October 2023 for an auspicious reading of the Alamkara Root Text and create the causes to attain Bodhicitta and Ultimate Wisdom.
The Abhisamayalamkara or Ornament of Clear Realisation is a major Buddhist treatise that was transmitted directly from Maitreya Buddha to the Indian pandit Asanga in Tushita Heaven.
It is a comprehensive commentary on the hidden meaning of the Prajnaparamita Sutras, and describes the entire path of the Bodhisattva warrior, from the generation of bodhicitta to the attainment of perfect omniscience.
In the Tibetan tradition, this sutra is identified as one of the Five Treatises of Maitreya, and is studied in all Tibetan Buddhist lineages. Within the Gelug school, it is one of five principal works studied as part of the geshe curriculum.

The puja will be conducted by visiting Sangha from Shar Gaden, Serpom, Phelgyeling and Segyu monasteries, alongside high lamas and esteemed geshes.
